Cell Phones Wanted for Emergency Use
In an
effort to utilize this requirement to the benefit of Wood
Dale residents who may be considered "at risk" due to either
age, physical condition, or temporary medical infirmity, the
Wood Dale Police Department has initiated the "Cell Phones
for Safety" program. This program provides donated cell
phones to identified individuals who will then be able to
call for help in the event of an emergency when they may not
have readily available access to a land line telephone.
Residents are asked to deliver otherwise workable cellular
telephones, along with any applicable accessories and owners
manuals to Officer Frank Chiero at the Wood Dale Police
Department.
If you have any questions, wish to participate in the "Cell
Phones for Safety" program, or know of an individual who may
be in need of assistance, please contact Officers Frank
Chiero or Steve LeJeune of the Wood Dale Police Department
at 630/766-2060.
