• New Bicycle Registration Program - The Wood Dale Police Department has teamed up with, and is now an Official Registration Station for the National Bike Registry. The NBR is the only national database working with Law Enforcement since 1984 to return stolen bikes to their rightful owner.
  
• Project CHILDSAFE - The City of Wood Dale has joined a nationwide program to help ensure safe and responsible firearms ownership and storage.
  
• The Emergency Beacon Program - The fundamental component of this program consists of a sixty watt light bulb that is installed in either a porch light or interior light that is visible from the street.
  
• Cell Phones Wanted for Emergency Use - In an effort to utilize this requirement to the benefit of Wood Dale residents who may be considered "at risk" due to either age, physical condition, or temporary medical infirmity, the Wood Dale Police Department has initiated the "Cell Phones for Safety" program.
